Stephen Anderson

Professional Power Skating Coach and Elite Skill Development Instructor

Stephen Anderson is a Professional Power Skating and Elite Hockey Coach- In the Hockey world if you are a Bantam level player or higher chances are you would have seen or skated with Stephen or seen him around the rink. Skating as early as 5 am with students to as late as 11Pm or at a local community event, Stephen is heavily involved within the City of Edmonton and multiple associations as he believes no athletic should be disadvantaged from having the ability to attend the best programs available; All our programs are custom designed and no two being alike, this takes hundreds of hours and multiple resources in order to maintain our Goal Standard of Perfect. I do not believe that doing the same thing over and over will achieve a different result. Players need state of the art, creatively crafted, and executed to perfection to deliver maximum learning and leverage to all participants, you cannot get better if you don’t understand the process and have a detailed plan on how to measure and achieve these goals. My program was established to standardize and improve training practices with the objective of improving each player’s natural abilities so they can reach their maximum potential, the individual player improvement process should be at the forefront of each team and a quality on-ice and off-ice development component must not be compromised. Through the hundreds of Athletics that Stephen has trained from as far East as Newfoundland to the western British Columbia Interior, Stephen has earned the reputation of being able to successfully hone in on areas of a players game and dramatically increase a players competitive edge. This is how a basic philosophy emerged: “Any player of any ability can improve performance by focusing on what we believe are the four most essential aspects of Hockey; Balance, Efficiency, Speed, and Agility.”

Stephen is a solid community supporter and instils the same values in his players. The midget players from his team collectively provided over 300 hours of community service in each of the past two seasons volunteering with organizations such as the Bissell Centre, the Mustard Seed etc. These commitments were instrumental in South Side Athletic Club’s award for Community Involvement awarded by Hockey Edmonton. stephen@andersonhockey.ca
